Christopher M. Wilkos, CFA
Chief Investment Officer
Christopher Wilkos is chief investment officer of Nassau Asset Management, LLC (NAMCO), an affiliate that manages the assets for all Nassau Re subsidiaries including The Phoenix Companies, Inc.
Among his NAMCO responsibilities, Mr. Wilkos sets investment strategy to ensure that Phoenix fulfills its obligations to customers. He oversees Phoenix’s life insurance companies’ general account and affiliated investment portfolios.
Mr. Wilkos joined Phoenix in 1997 as director of Corporate Portfolio Management and was named vice president in 1998, and senior vice president in 2001. He was promoted to Chief Investment Officer for Phoenix in 2009 and moved to the expanded role at NAMCO when it was formed in 2017.
Prior to joining Phoenix, he served as an investment officer, portfolio manager, and vice president of Portfolio Strategy and Operations for Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company.
He holds the chartered financial analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Hartford CFA Society. Active in the community, Mr. Wilkos is a member of the Connecticut Rivers Boy Scout Endowment Investment Committee, is chairman of the Investment Committee of the United Way of the Capital Area, and is a member of the UConn SMF Investment Advisory Board. He is an adjunct Finance professor at UConn and the undergraduate supervisor for the Student Managed Fund.
Mr. Wilkos has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the College of the Holy Cross, cum laude, and a master’s in business administration in finance from the University of Connecticut.
